Particularly important is a decrease of proportion of the population in rural areas
with average cash income per month, lower than the living wage, but surprises the fact
that even with a decrease in the indicator in 2014 compared to 2005 (by 58.7 %) the
number of such people, even according to official statistics, more than 20 %.
In
addition, indicator of average cash costs in rural areas for food absolutely does not meet
European standards – in Ukraine, it is 54.2 %, and compared to 1990 it increased by
18.7 points.
The quintile ratio of differentiation of total income in rural areas changed little.
It should be noted that this value is based on the results of official statistics, so we
should keep in mind that the money income of the most wealthy population is hidden.
Furthermore, in 1990 this indicator was not determined, so it is impossible to make
appropriate comparisons.
Therefore, an indicative model, based on the calculations, can be used for studying
the indication of the sustainability of land use development in Ukraine.
Indicative model of sustainable land use in Ukraine [19] consists of six blocks
according to our proposals. At the macro level, the use of all indicators of these blocks
is not feasible, because it complicates the development of the model significantly.
However, we conducted appropriate calculations for each of the blocks for further
comparisons at the national level.
Official statistics do not provide analysis of a single basic year. We used as the
basic years those years that most accurately reflected changes in the state of individual
land use indicators during the period of land reform in Ukraine.
The principles of constructing an indicative model are:
1) the goal principle – assessment of the sustainability of agricultural land use in
Ukraine;
2) the principle of unity – a time lag (from 1985 to 2015) and a defined system of
indicators of development and efficiency of land use;
3) the systematic principle – systematization of indicators of the level of
development of land use, blocking indicators for the purpose;
